Dolcetto Clone 2

A northwestern Italian varietal with a recorded harvesting in 1593.

Planted side by side with its cousin Nebbiolo, Dolcetto ripens earlier and thrives in cooler areas.

The wines it produces are beautifully dry which are deep red in color with flavors of plum/prune and hints of pepper.

The full bodied red Italian wine grape. Can develop high tannins. Buds early and ripens earlier than Barbara and fairly winter hardy.

Rootstock: 101-14
