Known since at least the 14th century in the Lombardi region, Nebbiolo has become the crown jewel of northern Italy. Light colored red with full tannins, buds early, ripens very late. With notes of cherry and licorice, Nebbiolo yields a rich and festive wine. Ranging from medium to full body depending on region and growing conditions.
