Viticulture Characteristics

Early budding and ripening; moderately vigorous but not as productive as others. Bunches and berries are small and therefore susceptible to botrytis. Also sensitive to downy mildew

Wine Characteristics

Naturally low in acids, performs better in cooler climates. Styles dependent on region and can range from dry to sweet. More complex styles will have neutral barrel aging, malolactic fermentation, or lees contact.
